Bubble Spice

Hey everyone! It might just be me, but this week has been really hectic. I feel like I haven’t had the time to get anything done… But amidst all that has been going on, it’s nice to sit down and have a little “me time.” Am I right?

I recently went to a boba place downtown called 805 boba. It’s the most popular boba place for kids and teens. At least from what I have noticed, if you ask “have you tried boba?” the two most common responses you will get are, “no” or “yes, 805 boba is so good.”

I can understand why this boba place is so popular. The people who work there are extremely friendly and even though there are already tons of different possible combinations and variations for boba teas already, 805 does a great job at providing a heck of a lot of flavors. I chose to go for a drink I knew I would most likely not be able to get anywhere else. That drink was a mango smoothie spiced up with strawberry boba. What that means is that in the mango smoothie, they put chili powder an related ingredients to give the drink a hint of spice.

805menu_editedThe wait, I have to say, took a bit longer than I expected. However, the T.V. totally made up for it. While I waited I sat on a really comfy couch an just watched T.V. while occasionally checking my phone. I also noticed while sitting there, the beautiful art on the wall. I think the art is what makes this particular boba place seem all the more friendly and welcoming.

tvinboba_edited  I really love all of the different types of art the have. There are simple clean portriats, abstract portraits, scenery and landscape art. I think the different types of art this place has really represents the diversity in flavors and drink combinations.

Speaking of drinks, here’s mine! The one and only mango smoothie with strawberry boba, spiced up!

I understand may drink may look a little messy, trust me, it’s really good. The boba could have been cooked a little more to be made softer and chewier, but the strawberry sweetness engulfed my tastebuds with a mixture of flavors along with the spicey freshness of the smoothie. I would rate this drink 7/10 because of the slightly uncooked center. I encourage you to try this drink if you live in Santa Barbara, or are in town. If your looking for a drink that is out of the box with a summer feel, this is definitely the drink for you! Now tell me in the comments, how was your day or week? Was it as hectic and busy as mine? Or did you have time to relax? If so, what did you do?
